Grand Hotel Tremezzo is a 1910 Art Nouveau palace on the western shore of Lake Como, gazing straight across the water to Bellagio. Family-run for more than a century, it wears its belle-époque glamour with warmth: some eighty rooms and suites in period dress, terraced flowering gardens, a three-level spa, and five restaurants and bars led by La Terrazza Gualtiero Marchesi. Its signature flourish is water itself — three pools, one of them floating on the lake — alongside a private sandy shoreline, a flood-lit clay tennis court, and a fleet of vintage wooden water limousines. It is grand-hotel theater, played with genuine Italian heart.
